As a wedding photographer I get to shoot at many stunning wedding venues throughout Ireland & the Glenlo Abbey hotel in Galway is definitely one of those, I thought I'd share my experience from a wedding photographer's perspective as this may just be the wedding venue you are looking for in Ireland. It's ideally situated five minutes' drive from Galway city with stunning grounds for wedding photography and staff & service that matches it's 5-star rating. The grounds of the hotel make an excellent location for outdoor scenic wedding photos, from the original Orient Express train carriage to the lake side walkways, the options for photo opportunities are endless.

Located on a 138 acre estate on the west coast of Ireland, Glenlo Abbey is a ideal wedding venue for both irish & destination wedding couples. Couples dreaming of a fairytale wedding venue need look no further. The stone Abbey itself is perfect for an intimate wedding ceremony or a civil ceremony and the interior décor is a beautiful setting to say “I Do”. Stepping outside the grounds is a wedding photographers dream, with ample variety for photos. Of all the wedding venues in Galway, there is something about Glenlo Abbey that has that magical feeling to it. The exquisite River Room and large Corrib Suite can cater for large wedding receptions and based on my own experience, you will be well taken care of by the exceptional staff and service that this wedding venue has to offer.

Getting ready in the bridal suite - the bridal suite consists of two spacious adjoining rooms with ample light which will easily accommodate your bridesmaids, Mom's & hair & make up when getting ready on the morning of your wedding.

From a wedding photographers perspective, the stunning interior & grounds of the Glenlo Abbey provide ample variety for both the couple shoot & bridal party images on a wedding day. This is a great time saver as travel time to alternative locations is not a requireement to get gorgeous photos.
